Parallel Covid

By Kaiqing Su

About

In November 2019, the first case of Coronavirus broke out in Wuhan, Hubei, China. At the time, Chinese people didn't realize that there was a fatal disease spreading. Quickly, the virus spread to many countries around the world, turning into a global pandemic. As of mid-October, 2021, more than 240 million confirmed cases have been reported globally, of which more than 4.891 million died, which is one of the large-scale epidemics in human history. The estimated value of the fatality rate of this disease varies greatly among countries in the world. As of February 8, 2021, the observed fatality rate of this disease in most countries is between 0.5% and 5.0%.

Right now, Covid-19 pandemic has already taken root in our daily life and people have to continue to live with it. As an international student studying in the USA, the news I received about the pandemic from my mother country, China, and the news from America is very different. Through video interviews, let’s get to know how people from different countries are thinking about this pandemic.

COVID-19 Stories

Video Interviews

I interviewed five people who are in their 20s to who are in their 50s, from Chinese people, American people, to people from other Asian countries. They all have different views on covid-19 regulations in China and the USA.
